FAQ
Q. How much does FlexKrete cost?
A. When mixed with 3½ parts sand, a 5 gal pail will yield more than 20 gallons of mixed product.
That makes the price per gallon less than $20. Different applications will vary in cost, depending on the
application, aggregate type and loading. We also have an on-line calculator to help you figure the job.
Q. What is the coverage of FlexKrete?
A. The coverage depends on the depth of the repair and how it is used. However, FlexKrete is 100% solids
by volume, so the spread rate is as much as can be obtained from any product.
Q. What are the temperature application restrictions?
A. There are no temperature restrictions for applying FlexKrete. It has been used in temperatures well over
100° F, as well as in frigid areas of -34° F. It works great in freezer rooms.
Q. Can FlexKrete be stained or painted?
A. Yes, it can be stained or painted, usually within an hour of application. Water-based or 100% solids materials
should be used.
Q. What type of sand should be mixed with FlexKrete?
A. Always use kiln-dried blasting or industrial sand. For troweling, a good mesh size is 20-50 mesh, or
medium grade sand. For matching very smooth surfaces, a finer mesh may be used. Any size or type
aggregate may be mixed with FlexKrete, as long as it contains no moisture. Color quartz, aluminum
oxide, flint, Black Beauty, small gravel, etc. may all be used with FlexKrete, depending on your surface needs.
